I live in Thornbury, Victoria, Australia, where the low-rise units are creeping up and our local video store is closing after 27 years.
I’m currently working on a novel based on the life of Robert LeRoy Parker (alias, ‘Butch’ Cassidy) and his adventures after he was reportedly killed in a shootout in San Vicente, Bolivia, in 1908. I was in Utah in 2014, visiting various sites and locations, including Parker’s birthplace (Beaver, Utah) and his home in Circleville, Utah (above).

I am the founding Publisher of Clouds of Magellan Press – an independent publishing imprint. Since 2006 Clouds of Magellan has published 30 titles and provided mentoring and manuscript development. Clouds of Magellan has published new and established Australian authors in the areas of poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Thematically the non-fiction has focused on ‘spirituality from the margins’, LGBTI publishing, and memoir – often with some overlap of these categories.
Clouds of Magellan no longer publishes new titles, but individuals or organisations requiring publication services – from books to website production under their own imprint, editing and manuscript development, cover design or book layout – can contact me – Gordon Thompson – at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’ve worked in web for well over a decade – with Syzygy UK, Senojweb, Hitwise/Experian, ui3, Victoria University, and independently or in association with various digital or design agencies. I currently run short courses in WordPress and provide web services and training to individuals.
